Roles and access
Two things decide what someone can do in ServiceTags: their role, and the sites they can see.
Roles
| Role | What they can do |
|---|---|
| Super Admin | Everything an admin can do, plus billing and changing people's roles |
| Admin | Settings, forms, menus, sites, reports, inviting people. Sees every site. |
| Manager | Work with items and tickets at their sites |
| Field User | Work with items and tickets at their sites |
| Customer Service | Work with items and tickets at their sites |
Whoever creates the account becomes the Super Admin.
Today, Manager, Field User, and Customer Service can all do the same things. Pick the one that best describes the person's job.
Only admins can see reports, export lists, set up forms and menus, add sites, order tags, and invite people. If a menu or page is missing for someone, their role is usually why.
Adding and editing items
You can stop a particular person from adding or changing items, whatever their role. It's a setting on their invitation and on their profile under Users.
Which sites someone sees
Admins see every site. Everyone else sees:
- the sites in the collections given to them or their team, and
- any site that isn't in a collection.
That's what decides which items and tickets show up for them, on the web and in the app.
Changing someone's role
Open Settings, then Users, and find the person under People. Only a Super Admin can change a role.
